Whilst visiting the Hwange National Park recently some guests were lucky enough to see a displaying – the worlds heaviest flying bird. Keen bird watchers will know that this is a very rare occurrence and this was the first such sighting for Wilderness Safaris in 60 years of combined bird watching.

Winter is over in Zambia. The bush has thinned out and vast herds of buffalo are being seen daily. One herd has made its temporary home around Chiawa Camp. There have been some wonderful leopard sightings and one lucky honeymoon couple observed a leopard from their canoe, followed by a lighting sighting further along the channel. [...]
